GRANIT`s core business is road/motorway construction. GRANIT has constructed over 1000 km of highways, over 7000 km of roads, excavation and filling in hundreds of millions cubic meters of earth, and building in several million tons of asphalt. On these construction projects, hundreds of kilometres of embankment and thousands of kilometres of drainage systems were reconstructed. For more than a half a century, GRANIT has built many hydro technical structures of all kinds in Macedonia: concrete dams, embankments for river control, irrigation systems and water supply systems. The company is proud of its continuous contribution in the building and development of the national electric power system. Some of the more notable projects are:  the Kozjak hydro power plant with capacity of 100 MWh, the double-arched concrete dam in Sveta Petka, not far from the Capital of Macedonia which has a generation capacity of an additional 27,66 MWh, enough to satisfy the capital`s residential electricity needs and part of the capital`s industrial requirements. The Knezevo earth-rock dam with its 1.7 mil/m3 of embankments contributes an additional 22.5 mil/ m3 useful water accumulation to the hydro system at Zletovica. GD Granit AD Skopje is also a producer of electricity by a co-founding and its 50% ownership share of “Small Hydro Power Plants” a private company  that owns 7 small hydro power plants that participate in the electricity supply of the Republic of Macedonia,.

GRANIT has benefited from the knowledge and expertise managed to transfer the experience gained through the construction of many airports in Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, and both main airports in Macedonia, Skopje and Ohrid. In addition, using this expertise, despite successful experience in construction of airports, the company GRANIT has been involved in reconstruction of the runways, taxi-ways and aprons for on the Skopje and Ohrid airports, as well as on the Sofia and Pristina airports. GRANIT also played crucial role in the reconstruction process of Skopje airport which included the by extension of the main runway and aprons.
