CONSTRUCTION OF HIGHWAY KICEVO – OHRID, SECTION KICEVO-PODVIS

The Working Unit Kicevo – Ohrid is established by the decision of the Management Board of Granit in May 2014, in order to construct the Motorway Kicevo – Ohrid, section Kicevo – Podvis.

According to the Contract for construction of the Motorway:
– Granit Construction Stock Co. is nominated subcontractor;
– Sinohydro Corporation Limited is Main Contractor
– Consorcium GIM, Euroconsulting and Geing Krebs und Kiefer is Engineer;
– Public Enterprise for state roads is Employer.

The total price of the Contract for construction of the Motorway Kicevo – Ohrid, section Kicevo – Podvis is 117.609.360,15 euro.
Reinforced concrete works of the Motorway participate with more than 60% in the total price of the Contract for construction of the Motorway.

The time period for completion is 38 months from the commencement date.

Section Kicevo – Podvis consists of the following structures:
12 viaducts with prestressed beam girders, with total length of 3,60 km in both directions;
2 viaducts with balanced cantilevered method of construction, with total length of 1,80 km
2 overpasses
1 underpass with an interchange on the Motorway
Retaining walls with total length of 1,35 km

The critical points on the critical path of the Motorway Kicevo – Ohrid, section Kicevo – Podvis are the viaducts with balanced cantilevered method of construction, located at km 6+860 and km 9+105

Employment and Practice Fair

GD Granit AD Skopje participated on the Employment and Practice Fair held at the Faculty of electrical engineering and information technologies -FEIT and the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering – Finki, from 12 to 14 April 2017 organized by the organization Kontakt.

Within the fair on 13.04.2017 there was presentation of GD Granit AD Skopje at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the representative of Granit was interviewing the students.
The students have shown great interest to carry out practical training within the company, and also were interested in the employment opportunities. They were introduced with the company’s work, the projects, the engineering staff and which positions are open for employment. Also it was explained the application process, and they got the contacts where they can submit their CV for practice and employment.

HELP FOR THE FLOODED AREAS AROUND SKOPJE

On 08.07.2016, Skopje was hit by stormy weather, with heavy rainfall, whereas the most affected areas were Sindelic, Stajkovci and Smilkovci.

In the affected areas was caused enormous material damage, thousands of houses were demolished, the roads were flooded, and the traffic was disabled.

For that purpose, GD Granit AD Skopje, as a socially responsible company, donated 2.974.696,92 MKD for engaging of construction mechanization and work force for cleaning the flooded areas, which was the priority goal in order to prevent the spreading of diseases and curbs – product of GD Granit AD for preventing the strip of the flooded streets.
